Derek Jones is a Product Manager and leads Appriss Insights’ product initiatives focused on people-based risk. He leads a team responsible for delivering products that leverage a spectrum of person and justice-involved data to provide solutions for law enforcement, government and commercial partners under the Appriss banner of “knowledge for good.” He has over a decade of SAAS leadership experience in customer-focused roles as a co-founder, business development executive, Account Executive and a Product Manager. Derek received his education at the University of Louisville, earning an M.B.A in Entrepreneurship and an undergraduate degree studying Political Science and Economics. He’s a recent graduate of Code Louisville, former President of the UofL MBA Association, and former Chairman of the Mitch McConnell Program for Leadership. Derek’s passion is caring for vulnerable populations. He is an advocate and participant in the foster care system in Louisville, KY and an active voice in the international adoption community. Derek works in Louisville, KY where he lives with his wife and six children.
